Is there a cost to attend the 2021 Peer Recovery Support Summit?


There is no cost to attend this event, it is sponsored by The New Jersey Department of Human Services, Division of Mental Health and Addiction Services.




Where is the Summit being hosted?


This Summit experience is being held on Hopin, an all-in-one event management platform.




How do I register to attend Celebrating Resiliency: The Vital Role of Peer Workers?


You can register for the Summit here: https://hopin.com/events/5th-annual-peer-recovery-support-summit Once registered, Hopin will automatically send an email to each registered individual a reminder the day prior, and one hour before the beginning of the Summit. To ensure you receive all Hopin emails, and they don't go to a junk folder, please add no-reply@hopin.com to your email contacts.




Can I register for on-demand access after September 1?


Yes, registration for the recorded event is open until December 1, 2021! All sessions will be available to watch on-demand through 12/31/21 to all registered attendees—no matter if you joined us for the live event or only just registered. Attending the Summit

Are there CEUs?


This event offers 20+ CEUs. The total offered is 1 CEU per session attended, morning and afternoon sessions as listed in the schedule. Sessions that are recorded will be available beginning on 09/02/2021. These courses have been pre-approved by the Board of Marriage and Family Therapy Examiners and the Alcohol and Drug Counselor Committee for License and Certification Renewal for LCADC, CADC, CPS, MFT, MFT-Permit, LPG, LAC, LRC, CPRS, and recertification for all certifications issued by The Certification Board. Additionally, these courses have been pre-approved by NAADAC, the Association for Addiction Professionals for NCPRSS recertification.




How do I obtain my CEUs?


Once the session you have attended has ended, you will be instructed by the session moderator to complete the online survey. Once you have completed the survey, the certificate of completion will be emailed to the email address provided on your registration submission.




What networking opportunities will the virtual summit provide?


The Networking area is the place for automated one-on-one meetings. In the networking segment, when someone clicks the Ready button, the system automatically pairs you up with someone else who has also clicked the Ready button. This match is paired randomly. If both parties are available, the two are matched instantly and the video chat begins and lasts for 180 seconds.




Will I have to opportunity to meet with organizations that offer Peer Recovery support services throughout the state?


The Expo area will feature organizations that offer peer recovery support services from dozens of organizations state-wide. In the expo area, you will have the opportunity to meet with representatives from every featured organization, access videos, live links, and download key resources.




How do I win a door prize?

Technical Help

How do I access the virtual event on September 1?


  • If you know your Hopin login information, you can head here and sign in. If you don't remember this information, you can reset it using the password reset form on the same page.
  • Once logged in, navigate here to your account page and you will see a direct link to the Summit. Your Home page on Hopin contains all the events you have registered for. You can click on the Summit to get in once it's time.

What web browsers can I use to access the Summit?


The following Desktop browsers can be used to access the Summit:

  • Google Chrome
  • Mozilla Firefox
  • Microsoft Edge (chromium version on Windows 10 only)
The Summit can also be accessed via Mobile devices: Android iOS, iPadOS (Apple) Note: No downloads are required for the web browser, however, downloadable apps for mobile devices are the best experience for watching an event. Trouble accessing a Session or Backstage in Hopin?


If you're having trouble joining a Session or Backstage, make sure you've completed the following.

  • Ensure you have a ticket for the event
    • You need to have a ticket to join the event before you can access the backstage or a session, the event organizer should be able to provide that before the event starts.
  • Ensure you're logged into the correct Hopin account
    • Sometimes, attendees are redirected to the home page when they are not logged into the correct Hopin account with access to the backstage or session in question.
  • Refresh your web browser
    • Tip: Hold the Shift key when pressing the command+R (macOS) or Ctrl+R (Windows) combinations to reload the page without the cache.
  • Check your browser permissions
    • Click on the padlock icon next to the URL field and make sure Camera and Microphone are set to Allow for app.hopin.com web page.
  • Check the browser and make sure it is updated
    • Currently, using the latest versions of Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox on your laptop or computer guarantees the best experience.
    • Here are instructions for updating Chrome and here for Firefox. Other browsers aren't supported.
    • Note: Sometimes, third-party extensions can affect the experience by blocking some of the Hopin interface elements. That’s why we also recommend opening the event in Incognito mode (command+Shift+N on macOS or Ctrl+Shift+N on Windows) on Chrome or a Private tab (command+Shift+P for macOS or Ctrl+Shift+P for Windows) on Firefox.
    • On mobile devices, the experience will be limited for Organizers or Speakers and sufficient for event attendees.
  • Restart your web browser
    • Sometimes browser settings require a browser restart for changes to take effect.
    • Note: if a session is Moderated, you will not be able to join the session unless the moderator approves your request.
    • Most of the time, a refresh of the webpage will fix most problems.
    • If you tried the tips above and still unable to join a session or a Backstage, it could be due to one of the following reasons:
      • The Moderator or Organizer is not allowing you to enter the session or Backstage.
      • The maximum amount of people are already on screen is reached.
  • Try contacting the NJPN team in the event chat.
